Detoxifying Beet Juicing Recipe – Beet It!

Here’s a detox juicing recipe that not only tastes great, but helps your body cleanse itself from many harmful toxins! According to the guys at JustJuice.org, the benefits of juicing beets are many.

[Beets] contain an ample amount of well-known antioxidants such as vitamin C and manganese, but much of their antioxidant powers come from a lesser-known antioxidant called betalains.

These potent antioxidants are responsible for giving beets their characteristically bright-red color and have been shown to help fight cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and inflammation in the body.

These helpful little antioxidants also support cellular detoxification and cleansing in your body. Through a process called phase 2 cleansing, toxic substances in our body are chemically combined with a small nutrient group which helps to neutralize the toxins and make them water-soluble so that they can be flushed out with your urine.

Pretty cool stuff, right?! It’s facts like this that originally drove us to want to inform people of the powerful benefits of juicing. Here’s the recipe for juicing from Just Juice:

Detox Juicing Recipes for Better Health

Juice Cleanse - Detox Juicing Recipes

We absolutely love how juicing truly impacts people for the better at Best Juicing Recipe! So, when we came across this post about juice cleanses from Gaby Dalkin (What’s Gaby Cooking) we had to share it with you.

Here are some of Gaby’s thoughts on how to prepare for a juice cleanse:

I usually juice for about 5-6 days. 2 years ago when I first started, it was a 3 day juice cleanse. Which really means 9 days… because there is a 3 day pre cleanse and 3 day post cleanse schedule that I follow. That means, in the 3 days leading up to the cleanse, I cut out basically everything except fruits and veggies. I eat lots of loaded salads with different veggies, drink boat loads of tea, and obscene amounts of water to prepare myself.

So once I’ve got the 3 days of pre-cleansing under my belt, it’s time to hop into the juicing stage.

Some great thoughts for anyone considering this difficult, but rewarding endeavor. Now to the great detox juicing recipes that Gaby created!
