Here’s an awesome detox juicing recipe from the incredibly awesome blogger Leanne Vogel of Healthful Pursuit. She underwent a quick 3 day juice cleanse to get her digestive system cleaned out, and this was one of the juicing recipes she made.
The benefits of juicing ingredients such as kale, pear, cucumber and celery are great: loads of Vitamin C from the kale and pear, improved colon and digestive health from the fiber in pears, high-cholesterol reduction from the celery and cucumber, as well as hydration from the cucumber.
Sweet and Green Detox Juicing Recipe
- 1 pear
- 1 apple
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 bunch of kale
- 1 celery stalk (about 10 sticks with leaves)
- 1 cucumber
If you have a ‘low’ setting on your juicer, begin with the softer veggies first – spinach, kale and cucumber. Then turn to ‘high’ and juice the pear, apple, and celery.
